B meson

In the standard model of particle physics a B-meson is a meson which is a bound state of two (anti-)bottom quarks (whence “B”).

Currently the major experiment studying B-meson physics is the LHCb. It is increasingly seeing flavour anomalies (see there) in BB-meson decays at high statistical significance, pointing to physics beyond the standard model of particle physics.
