Alexander-Spanier cohomology is a cohomology theory for topological spaces. Wikipedia: “The Alexander–Spanier cohomology groups coincide with Cech cohomology groups for compact Hausdorff spaces, and coincide with singular cohomology groups for locally finite complexes.”
One can also define A-S homology and A-S cohomology with compact supports.
Voevodsky uses some notion in his ICM talk - is this A-S cohomology???
