Fermi theory of beta decay

Idea

The Fermi theory of weak $\beta$-decay is an effective quantum field theory approximation – valid to an energy of about 10 TeV? – to that part of the standard model of particle physics which is relevant for the decay of hadron?s by the weak interaction.
