Fabien Morel is a French algebraic geometer (currently holding professorship at LMU Munich). His work includes the construction

• of ${𝔸}^1$-homotopy theory (two variants, one jointly with Vladimir Voevodsky),

• of algebraic cobordism with Marc Levine.

and the study of profinite homotopy.
